Help With Air Mix

Post by Blownville »

ACDELCO Part # 1571835 {#16124942}
ACTUATOR,TEMP VLV w/A/C AUTO CONTROL(C61)
$53.79 $0.00 $53.79

ACDELCO Part # 1571923 {#16141822}
ACTUATOR,TEMP VLV w/A/C AUTO ELEC CONT(C68)
$63.79 $0.00 $63.79

Which of these two would be the correct air mix for my 93 SSEI?

Also is there a way to get the plastic that retains the actuator rod to the door arm or am I up a creek with ever fixing this? I broke mine when I disconnected it due to it being very brittle. Thanks all.

I'm not sure but my 95 was the #16141822.
Can't you look at your RPO codes and see if you have C68 or C61.
That may not be the correct advice, but maybe someone else will add something.

I would check a junkyard for the rod clip.

Unfortunately I cant check my RPO codes anymore as I threw out the spare and cover. My trunk has a wood floor to make it even.

Does any one have a pic of the conection of the air mix door arm and the air mix actuator rod? I would like to see how it connects so I know what it is I would need to make or fab to get it connected. Thanks.

SSEi's are always going to have C68.

Have you looked at this? http://trialsnuts.com/ecc.pdf

Thank you Andrew. The only pic that shows what I need is the one that has the Redneck fix attached to it. :)

I was hoping to find a pic of one that someone pulled the whole box out along with the door. I know its a long shot. :helpsmilie:

Ahh I saw that one but I need the other end where it connects to the door. From what I gather it just snaps into a plastic piece that is always attached to the air mix door. I have kinda put this off due to buying a new toy! :wink: Thanks though.
