Can some one point me to a link or give me a tip on getting the rotors out of my M90, 01 SSEi?

Take the bolts out of the nose, remove the nose, then use a piece of wood or something soft to tap the rotor pack out of the case. Be sure to cover the needle bearings with duct tape so you don't get any dust in there. Also, don't wipe the grease off the ends of the rotors unless you want to buy new grease.

I merged your posts, please keep this discussion in 1 area.
Isn't there a notch the bottom to wedge? I can't remember off the top of my head. There is nothing holding them in except for the gasket maker.

Re: Removing M90 rotors....
Knew I shoulda posted this in General to begin with(more eyes to see post)...and i thought that would happen, lol
Nope no notch... machine a screw driver down thin and tried tapping that in but didnt do anything and I dont wanna mar up the aluminum. That sucker is on tight, and now rotors dont turn(i havnt hit it hard enought to damage the case), but I think something got in the case, so it def needs to come off.

is the s/c on the engine still? if it is give it a few good whacks with a hammer and a block of wood it will come. try from different angles also.
If it were quick and easy everyone would be doing it!

Re: Removing M90 rotors....
I dont think so... maybe a bit of coating came off of one of the edges, its a *dang* tight fit to slide em out.
How clean are these things sposed to look? Im gussing the Teflon coating is black right?

Re: Removing M90 rotors....
The rotor coating is actually gray, but dont' worry about cleaning them up. The carbon deposits on the rotors actually makes for a tighter clearance between the rotors, making more boost.

The EPOXY coating is gray, there is no teflon. I certainly hope you have at the very least more supercharger needle bearing grease. Or preferably, new needle bearings, pre-greased.
Unless you have either one or the other, you should never remove the rotors from the case.

Yup got new grease on the way. Didnt know how much of a pain it is to remove the bearings, I just didnt want to open a can of worms.
