good deal

consider yourself lucky, go to page 3 to see how clean/spotless Will's (SSeiMan01)'s MAF is..you could eat off it :bluetwitch: =D>

Yeah, mine looked like that too so that is what turned me away from it the first time but when the second code popped up I figured I'd dump some more money into her and see what happens and it worked. I was skeptical as to whether that would be it of not.

yeah thats the messed up thing, his throws no codes and no lights..it had a misfire that threw a code, that was fixed by different plugs and better coils..

even after a larger downpipe/high flow cat and a new o2 sensor the cough is still there.. :banghead:

hes on vacation right now, when he gets back(and when andrew sends him another PCM) hopefully we can get that one to do a relearn and see if that fixes the cough

i guess you could say the threads on hiatus at the moment :bhuh:

I hear ya. It is interesting to see how many different things can cause the same symptoms.

Yeah, I'm kinda just letting this issue bake in my head under the SoCal sun for a bit... Hoping its the PCM, if not then I'll swap MAF's with someone and see what happens...

Well, as an update, I got back last night, and this morning went to try relearning the second PCM Haro sent me, FML!!! :banghead:
Why will my car not relearn a PCM?
I followed the instructions on Intense's website and still nothing, the battery goes dead before anything else happens... :dontknow:

Will, how old is your battery? You can't tune if there isn't a full 12V, and the PCM won't security learn if it's losing power. Mine will stay on for far longer than the 30 min required for the security learn...

A security learn or a CASE learn? The security learn is with the key, on and off 5 times or w/e. CASE learn is with an Aeroforce or Tech II once it's running...

You know to have all accessories off and not open/close any doors, etc during the security learn, right?

Check the date on the battery. Honestly, I'd replace it and see what happens.

had the battery sitting on the trickle charger most of the time..then got a high voltage warning..so we took the trickle charger off :bhuh:

the battery may have died once..but that was Wills fault not mine :-$

EDIT: will just told me he got the battery in January :???:

Start checking connections. All the grounds, both ends of the battery cables, etc.

Well, it repeated a stunt this morning that it decided to pull a few days ago, that may be related...
it started running rich (I could tell by how it smelled) and rough and would almost die, and once it actually did... After a minute it restarted but ran rough, so I drove home (a few blocks) with 2 feet lol... I checked the codes and now it decided to throw a p0103, which is MAF high input... I'm going to see about replacing the MAF today...
I'm hoping that this solves the cough issue, as well as the newfound rough running issue...

AHEM! I've been busy all day... :booty2:
Well, the running/stalling issue is gone thanks to a new MAF...
BUT the cough still exists, albeit fainter...I'm taking it to the shop I know Monday to have them relearn that PCM and if need be, diagnose this. With school going on now, I don't have time to do anything excessively time consuming with it

Well, After two WHOLE days of both of the guys at the shop looking at this, they seem to have found what was wrong... :bwoohoo: :bwoohoo: :bwoohoo: :bwoohoo: :bwoohoo: They're driving it at the moment to make sure everything is alright. It turned out to be a combination of the Crank position sensor, and the Ignition control module...
I'm Glad I had them do the CPS, I remember doing 4 of them on my LeSabre and it was NOT fun... ICM is a breeze though...Go figure though...
Should be nice to feel the full effect of my mods now though...
Thanks to everybody for helping! :beerchug:
