Just for the sake of possibilities........... would you ever consider providing the replacement engine and performing the swap for a GXP brought to your shop ? If so, what would the "ballpark" cost be ?

Yes I would be open to that. I'd rather not post a price as it would change on so many variables. If you are actually interested in this, send me a PM.

Great ! It won't be until the N* takes it's next (and final) dump on us.

Let's just say the shipping costs to get the car from MD to MN to MD would be much higher than the actual labor costs.

Nice find, Ryan...
To add my two cents, if that SE is in good running order, I'd just swap the L67 from your SSEi, part that car out and create Frankenbonnie 2!

Funny because Heather and I were literally just talking about that....

Dang, I'm thinking about the possibilities, installing a built-up L67 would put out more horses than the Northstar for sure. Then you get a custom white face gauge cluster with the boost gauge where the voltmeter is like the SSEi has. Plus you get to use the heavier duty tranny from the GXP, the strongest FWD tranny GM ever made.

Stop giving him ideas, I want parts! Lol.

Just kidding, like I told him before this seems like to good of a package to rip into pieces.

As much as I love my V8 GXP, I think when the time comes, when the N* dies like the one in yours, there needs to be more L67 swapped GXPs out there, instead of breaking them down for their parts.
A very unique combo that would grow in popularity as time goes by.
People would feel better about keeping that combo on the road.
I hope you can swing it, it would be another great build project to follow along with.

Well, after a thorough exam of the bodies of both cars, the GXP body just isn't in good enough of shape / better enough shape then the SSEi to allow for an entire drivetrain swap. It will be parted for sure, parts will be starting to come off tomorrow, I already have a ton of interest for stuff, those that have expressed interest first will have first dibs on stuff. The passenger side fender and likely all four doors will be swapped onto the SSEi since it has damage on the fender and front drivers door and all four doors are terribly hard to open. When I have made enough money off the GXP other random parts will find their way to the SSEi. The wheels / tires will not be for sale
