And for the 2003, other than Bosal, was the layout and dimensions the same as earlier 2k's?
yes it was 100% OEM from a 2004 GXP. Every part of the exhaust is identical in fitment as is is to the SSEi

the pre 03's have all the same dimensions. 00Beast its 2.25 out of the res to the Y

Don, isn't the SSE's exhaust a dual outlet crossflow though?

On the 87-91 Bonneville they aren't cross flow..

Some Models will only have a single outlet at the Muffy,

Other Models like the SE With Sporty( NC6 ) exhaust will have a Dual Outlet on the passenger side..

Its gets tricky for the 90-91 Models..

The 90-91 could have come with the NC6 Dual Outlet( single side ) Muffy or there is a possibility that you could have had the Fakie Dual Outlet where one Outlet hangs off of the main outlet to present what looks like a Dual Outlet Muffy when in reality its a Single outlet that splits off into a second outlet.. Sad that they did that to the 90-91 Models... A few of them had the real deal and got the true NC6 system

So your 91 SSE doesn't even have a crossflow? I could have sworn they did. I'll use lottavaginamatt's diagram (my own version) for the 87-91's then, with the appropriate dimensions.

All my piping to the muffler is 2.5", the muffler outlets are 2.25". No resonator.

What do you mean by Crossflow?

You have an inlet... Here

And on the passenger side of the muffy a Center Outlet.. On the cars with NC6, you had 2 actually pipes coming out of the Muffler on the passenger side..

Crossflow being inlet and outlet on one end, and another outlet on the other end.

Ok that being said... None of the 87-91 Models used that set up.. Same goes for the Buick and Olds H Bodies as well..

Ok, that clears up alot. Basically the same layout (slightly different path) than the 92+, inlet on the same side of the transverse-mounted muffler, and only one outlet (sometimes two pipes) on the passenger side.

If you had an 87-91 With NC6 you should have had 2 True Outlets out of the muffy...

Other Models without NC6 could have had a single Pipe of a Single fakie Dual.. I'll get a couple of pics posted shortly..

Bumparooni.

Still need some input here.

Primarily with the 95-99 SE/SLE, single and dual exhaust, confirmation on the 2000-2005 SLE dual, and the 2000-2005 SE.

I have verified the 2000-2005 SLE dual is the exact same as the SSEi. Goes from 2.5 into the resonator, 2.25 out, narrows to 2.0 at the y-pipe to twin mufflers. I got on my back and crawled under there and measured it, so I know it is the same. Soon not to be on mine.

Are you sure Juan? I was told that for 00-05 Se its 2.25 in/out for the cat. I'm not positive but I heard that from members on here. I'd like to know what it is due to the fact I need a CAT badly!

my 87 SE which i think was only available with the LN3? had the following:

Year: 1987
Engine Code: LN3?
Model/Trim: SE
Cat inlet diameter: 2.25
Cat oultet diameter: 2.25
Resonator inlet (if equipped):
Resonator outlet (if equipped):
Y inlet (if equipped):
Y oulets (if equipped):
Muffler inlet diameter: 2.25
Muffler outlet diameter: 2.00 Dual
Tip PIPE diameter (measure at the last round section if squared at the end): 2.00 Dual

This one appearently had the NC6 option. This is not the original system but a complete system replacement that i bought for it several years ago. (car is long since gone) Long before i knew about a bonneville club or anything. i just replaced what it originally had because i liked the original exhaust rumble.

This is for sale, if anyone is interested.
