Thanks guys! Greg - no HDR, I don't believe in it

The big key is the circular polarizer attachment on the front of the lens. It really cuts down on harsh reflections and shows off a clean car very well. After that, it's just dragging some sliders to edit the RAW files in Adobe Lightroom. It also helps the lens I was using was an old-school 1980's Minolta 28-135: not very wide angle (hence no group shots from me), but super punchy contrast and colour.

I must say... I noticed the shadows slider on the Corolla photo a bit

It can give the "HDR" look when used liberally. But the shadow slider is one of the best things about Lightroom!
Still jealous I was working all weekend and missed this....But guess who has 5 days off starting this saturday?

Heh, for each location / lighting condition I have one edit that gets pasted onto multiple photos. I also like to abuse the Clarity slider

Yeah, I always forget to swap my polarizer between my two camera lens. It does make for better shots with cars. I've never messed with Lightroom, as very rarely do I ever edit any photos I take, but most I the pictures I seem to take nowadays are at the Michigan Meets.

This was the first time I've had my camera out since the last meet.
Speaking of which, I left my SD cards at home, so nothing from me again today.

First off, thanks to Ryan and Heather for hosting. Much appreciated. I had an absolute blast hanging out with y'all. Met some pretty awesome people and got to see some amazing cars. Changing out Greg's wheel bearing was pretty awesome, as well as getting under the hood of my Cutlass (fixed a variety of things: adjusted out 7 degrees of timing, hooked up air conditioner, disconnected/cut the belt to a smog pump that was rattling pretty good). Even though I lost the tranny on the way home, it was still an awesome weekend.
All of the pictures are fantastic! Here are mine.

Looks like a great time. I'll have to make it back out to a larger meet at some point.

I've found I like to bump the clarity 10-15 and vibrance 15-20 on most stuff I use the A77 on.

Still rocking the a700 here. Brother has an A77, and the rest of my friends have any combo of a200/a700/a55/a57. I want an a7/a7S with A-mount adapter but can't justify the moola. :(

I threw together a video of the festivities, my first time ever editing something, hopefully it came out good.

Cool video Ryan, making me miss the meet already! I'll see if I even have enough video footage from this one to put a video together.
And, still nothing from me yet, keep forgetting those SD cards.
Actually, Austin, it's gotten much worse now. Pretty much anytime I start the car, the audio cuts out. It either goes out completely or jumps around speakers. I've separated the backup camera's power from the headunit's power, and I'm still getting alternator whine (but only from the rear deck, powered by the 2 channel amp). It's actually gotten so bad now that a few seconds after coming on, the headunit shuts everything off and just flashes "AMP Error." But the funny thing is, all this only happens while the engine is running, never off the battery, even when the key is set to the ON position. I'm still leaning towards an alternator and/or voltage regulator issue. I have a replacement on the way, so I'll see if that helps.

How, exactly were these messages installed using the Tech 2?
Great pictures, and one hell of a turn out.
Nice to see so many of you having such a great get together.

I forget exactly what menu it was under, but I knew it was there because I remember Ed changed his message on his with a Tech II so I scoured through until I found it. I believe it was somewhere in the instrument panel options or something like that.

Lots of really nice pics. I'll be there a lot longer next year, and I promise to have a more presentable GXP! I was disappointed there weren't any others this year. Regardless, this is the most amazing car community I've ever known and I'm proud to be a part of it!

I did take pictures, but not as many as last time (mostly thanks to Friday being a real crappy day), and the video I took is nothing special, so I won't even mess with them this time.
Here's the best of what I took:

Awesome pictures guys. I keep realizing I haven't posted mine here yet and then either something comes up or I forget about it later on when I have a chance to, haha. Part of it was first dealing with flickr and then getting annoyed and moving back to photobucket. But I'll try to get my stuff posted tonight.
Definitely another amazing meet this year, even riddled with the troubles my brother and I had on the drive up and back. It was great to see everyone again as well as meeting some of you for the first time. I had the top end of the engine off 3 times that week trying to chase vacuum leaks and possible gasket blowouts, punched a hole through a rear valve cover, fuel pump failure, and I needed a jump start at one point. As well as my brother having not one but two axle failures on the drive up. Huge thanks to Pat & Randy helping me sort through some of my vacuum issues. And thanks to Ryan for allowing the extended stay and the help with parts and repairs in the rain, and for hosting the meet of course!
