it kills me how many cars you find, even if I had the cash, there are no bonnevilles anywhere near me for less then 2000 apparently they sold tons of them in MN.

as always I am envious of your "job" it looks like fun

LOL, I texted Andrew about a car the other day that looked familiar, thought maybe it was one of his flips, he didn't recognize it.

His reply: "MN is the land of 10,000 Bonnevilles". More like 100,000.

I like. Gives me hope for my on-the-fence plans for the donor '93 SSEi I have. It needs some holes fixed, and a lot of wheel well work...and an engine/trans... I should check out MN for a donor L67 SSE maybe. Then turbo it.

I am always impressed by your work! Very good job on this one as well.

I also don't get it though how you always luck out on finding so many of these for such a good price. I see these cars EVERYWHERE around here, yet never see any on craigslist for less then about $2,000 even in rotted out terrible condition or with a blown engine or trans.

:withstupid: If I had the money and could find one, I would actually love to do something like this.

This is true! I went there over the summer. I counted so many on my trip. Even the girl's house I pulled up to had a 91 SSE chilling in the driveway. :bwoohoo:

This was the old rocker molding

Being replaced with this, currently being painted

This was the front bumper
Image

I started sanding it down so it can be painted... only going to paint the driver side and blend it in
Image

Depending on how much paint Mel has left will determine if we put on a different driver rear door (I have one in white, but the wrong white, so only the outer door would need to be painted, not the jam.

That makes two of us. If you're ever looking to replace a long lost relative, I wouldn't mind being considered to fill that vacancy - lmao - BC

Yay body work! Before/after from similar angles will be required after she's done.

Looking good!

Not sure if it's just the lighting or what but I can see what's been painted and what hasn't. Looks a lot better than before, though...

Its a combination of the lighting in the shop and the not so amazing phone picture. The paint looks great.

That's pretty fascinating, the improvement from start to finish. I don't mind that white color, but I'm not crazy about the tan interior, not even on my own car.

Crazy that the 4th gear clutch hub splines shear off like that. Does that happen with all these transmissions eventually, and is there anything that can be done to delay it?

Off topic:
The splines were not hardened in the stock 65HD so they did wear. Hard accelerating in 4th causes it. I always manually dropped into 3rd when passing/accelerating. My splines in my original 65hd showed almost no wear at 300K miles.
