Andrew, did you ever consider keeping the 4T80e in there and just building on that?

That has been brought up on this build IIRC. He has opted to stay 4T65E-HD.

That power steering cooler loop is different on mine. Is it supposed to be shaped around the trans mount? You might have to change that out, or bend it out of the way.

I found a build thread where someone bolted a 3800 to the 4t80e, and it was a LOT of custom work, brackets, etc... I'm not interested in that.

There are two different styles. One loops all the way around the trans, and the other only goes halfway... not sure why.

Getting it to bolt up seems like the easier part. The bitchbolt hole needs to be relocated along with the rear knock sensor, and flexplate has to be redrilled.

The wiring and getting the trans to work with a 3800 pcm seems to be that part people get hung up on.

What have you done to the bottom end? Is that a phenalic intercooler under that SC?

Bottom end is a stock L32 with 30k miles. Yes that is a phenolic intercooler.

Does the L32 come with forged rods and crank? That looks like a 3" pulley?

Very nice!!! Looks extremely clean. But you must post more pictures! Its like a tease just posting 1 of that engine!
This makes me regret not doing the 8 rib pulley upgrade.

The L32 has powdered metal rods, larger valves and better flowing heads. That's a 3.2" pulley, but I have a 3.0 also.

I'll get some more pics up when I have it more complete.
