Just went and looked LOL...
The SES light goes on when the ignition is on, but as soon as the car starts, it goes off. Is it supposed to do that? Or should it stay on like most of the others for a few seconds?

Was just making sure it actually lights up. Supposed to do that.

Take it back to advance and have them scan for codes. Sometimes it doesn't illuminate the CEL, it just sets a history code. It all depends on the conditions surrounding the malfunction.

This is so similar, and interesting that neither of us gets a code thrown

So did you clean it with MAF cleaner and carfully use Q-tips on the wires?

No that's how I pulled it out of there... :btruestory:
Really, there's nothing on there to clean off...

I know, it wont look like it but its just the procedure. Its a precise instrument and doesn't take much to have it not get a correct reading. Spray the wires with MAF cleaner, then spray some on a q-tip and GENTLY rub the wires.

I'll have to find time between school, sleep and work tomorrow to do that.

Well I finally found out how to upload videos from my phone to youtube, so here is a decent video of the cough, its more audio than anything else, so turn up your speakers. The cough happens at about the 5 second mark and only does it once this time.
Thanks for your help again

Meanwhile I'll see about getting a better video of it. I will be getting a tune within the next week I hope so i will have whoever tunes it do a live feed setup on it and see what the pcm does when this happens.

Well, Kyle hasn't answered my PM I sent him on Thursday, I will probably get in touch with Sinister Drag Designs if he doesn't get back to me soon.
I wish the TPS I replaced made a difference, but it didn't. I'm working on uploading a second video where it coughs twice.

Can you swap MAF sensors with someone?

Only friend I have with a SII L67 is my friends dad, who has a 02 GTP but its got 160k on the original MAF so who knows that his isn't worse than mine... lol
Got a second video here, it coughs just after the 1-2 shift. You can't really tell too much from the video, but it coughed at about 3500 rpms and it actually did cough twice, but the vid is hard to tell
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vrv8Y8o42nw
What makes this so hard is that it isn't very noticeable unless you're in the car, only person here besides me who felt it was Wake...

All S2's 00+ used the same MAF, IIRC, so anyone with an N/A would work too. Just make sure the AFMxxx-xx matches.
