Supposed to have left around 7:00 but we're about 2 hours off. I had a bunch of crap to get done on the car before we left but I'm ready. Heading out now, see you all in the morning!

We arrived just before 10:30pm. Great day for a drive...only took just over 9 hours. Not bad for 5 women!

Arrived around 12:30...looong drive. RX-8 needs twice as much gas as the SSEi

Finally home. Stretched the 6-hour drive into 8 including a traffic jam or two

I took my sweet time and made many stops, including the duty-free

Just made it back about 40 minutes ago...no freaking idea why I'm still up. Jerry if you tried to call me, my phone died at some point after 9.


The drive went pretty well except for some damage the '01 took from a pair of 'road gators'. I was on I-295 going around Richmond, Va. 4 lanes wide and I was in the middle-right lane. Just ahead of me in the left lane was a minivan that had run over two halves of a tire and kicked them both into my lane, wasn't anything I could do. Heard some horrendous thunks underneath the car and I knew it wasn't good, it ripped the bottom of the front bumper cover and it's hanging from one side. So far that's the only damage I can see. I checked my trans cooler lines since they run right where it was struck and they seemed fine. Will have a better look tomorrow.


Also, for the record, Frost and Nick made it back safely around 9:00 in the morning.
