They're actually hardly even there on my car Jerry. I'd like to upgrade the lenses at least someday anyway. But I'm in no rush. These work well and I haven't gotten any complaints on the road. 99% of my driving is highway and half of it is at 2am. Lol.

They'll be the same as any G8 - there are squirrel finders, and they're creating glare. I also have in my posession a set of aftermarket TYC headlights, and they have them too. Of course, it's not nearly as much as a halogen HID PnP kit, but it's there and is worse than other halogen projector-equipped cars. The glass lens also isn't really the issue, it's mostly the squirrel finder.
The "no complaints on the road" is another common thing people say about their PnP kits. Doesn't mean that everything's fine and dandy! Sorry, the "no flame please" just invites me to say something.

The cut off looks pretty good on that wall. :O It may not be as sharp or colorful as other factory HID set ups. But I just wanna see them in person to see for myself.

Halogen projectors have these weird things that glare up from the cutoff line. For some reason mine aren't as prominent as some others. I.E. GTO projectors. I'm sure it's there a little but I really can't say I've seen it. I've driven up to walls at 2am and the line was just as clean as that picture shows.

These:
Those are actual shots of a G8 with HID kit. What brand did you buy?
This picture shows the effects pretty well. Top left stock, bottom left/top right is HID kit, bottom right is retrofit. Note the extra blob of light up top with the HID kits, and the excessive hotspot where the squirrel finder is doing its thing. In a normal halogen setup, it's responsible for lighting up road signs, but get overwhelmed once you add more lumens and a bulb completely different than the OE one.

Mine are not nearly that bad... I got them from a guy who sells them that I work with. They're high quality kits, BMW ballasts, etc, not sure on the brand of the bulbs but I guess quality varies in PnP kits, and these weren't the cheapest things out even when he only charged me his cost of $140.

I would love to get me some HID's for the G8, but that's probably a long way off since most of my funds are currently reserved for the Bonneville.
I also don't do much night driving anymore - a combination of my eyes going, and the fact I'm usually in bed watching Netflix by 9-10pm.

Christ, those are crazy. My halogen reflectors have a sharper cutoff... They have the angle up on the right side for signs/wildlife.

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll have something to show for it.

I would want new headlights to put them in, until I have the extra money these will do fine. It's not like they're aimed to the windows of other drivers. They're pretty low, and they did save me from smacking a deer. Not to offend anyone but I'm tired of going on about the hid thing. I'll retrofit someday.
On the brighter side, my tuning has come along very well. Greg and Carl can vouch that.

Yeah, Will's GXP (and the tune that goes with it) makes my GT seems very slow. When it gets in gear, it goes fast!
I need to get mine tuned now.

I was thinking about my tips being bigger than yours. Did you get the normal SOLO tips on yours, or did you ask for the bigger ones?

I didn't know they had the option... So the normal ones.
I need to post the video with the x pipe in.
