That's eerie. I just added a new p[an gasket to my tune up list again after a year.

Ill try the blue Can easy off. Flatlander that was a great shop shot. Would tend to turn a month long AT rebuild into a week long leisurely trip.

Yeah on that 3.6 motor there was at least over an inch of solid sludge behind the timing cover was worse and the oil pickup was 80% clogged. Replacing the pickup would have involved dropping the subframe dropping the front differential (awd) then removing both oil pans (2 piece) I ended up cutting the old screen out and using window screen and silicone to make it new lol. Different platform but the main thing was how much the easy off removed the sludge. I could wipe it with my finger and touch metal. Highly advise the easy off. I use it for almost all engine details now.

That's after wasting money on Purple power, simple green, kerosene and diesel lol. I was doing timing chains and noticed the previous owner knew nothing about oil change maintenence.
Is this the one you used? http://www.walmart.com/ip/26178258?wmls ... 92&veh=sem

Yes that is the right one and yes the Caddy with all the aluminum no damage despite what other people said it would do.
