My recepie for a decently quick L26/L36...
1) Tune
2) Exhaust. At least a freeflow cat and downpipe. Add ported manifolds or headers.
3) L67 throttle body with opening ported to match the L36 intake.
4) 24 lbs. injectors
5) Swap out your differential. For your '95, talk to Don (jrs3800), he has a lot of info about the 4t60 diffs. You currently have either a 2.86 or a 3.06 ratio, you should be able to get a 3.33.
My L26 with L36 intake and above mods (and the l26 returnless fuel rail, but that's optional...I did it to clean up the engine a little bit) got me in the neighborhood of 230-240 according to the scangage I was running. I also went to 3.29 gear ratio so it was a little bit quicker on the starts.

The 60 E used for the H body through 97 used the 2.84 or 3.06.. So in the 95 you could swap in the 3.33 ratio Diff..
Sandrocks car was very lively for an L36/26... Peppy, with lots of grunt... Highway passing was effortless
Everything will depend on whats wanted... The 3.33 on the highway will shift at roughly 80 from 2nd to 3rd... The 3.06 will be near 90 if not a little more depending on shift RPM's.. I have my 3-2 kickdown set at 82 with the 3.06 ratio
95 is also a strange year for the Tune... there were several EPROMS for the 95 3.06 ratio... seems a few made it out of the factory with a bit of a freak tune... Most were recalled and the EPROM was replaced.. The original EPROM on my car was set for 39 mph 2-1 kickdown and 80 3-2 kickdown.. The car was set to shift at 5750 meaning it did a 5950 Rpm shift...
But these PCM's and EPROMS did have an early form of torque management, so you are held back to a certain degree..
Gonna all depend on what you really want..

I'm actually really happy I saw this thread. I wanted to do a tune whenever I slap the Yella Terra rockers in and port/polish the heads, LIM, and blower. Cool stuff

Jfridge92 wrote:The biggest things I noticed when I got my tune back was an increase in throttle response (how snappy the gas pedal was when I floored it), quicker shifts instead of it feeling like it lagged a little in between gear changes, and it's definitely a little quicker to the 0-60, as well as up top since I had the shift points raised.
1995 should have a 4T60-E. 4T60-E's dont have electronic *shoot* programs. its vac opperated so a tune isnt going to do anything for the trans. Transking offers a "Red Stripe" Vacuum modulator for the trans and if you have a tiny screwdriver you can slip it into the vac port and adjust the hidden screw to change the shift vac pressure and firm it up a little. Transgo has a Shift improver kit that will also clean up the shift a little. you can change gear ratios depending on what Diff you have in yours now. IIRC if you find a diff from a Z34, GTP, Cuttlass supreme or any car that came with a 3.4L DOHC, that will be your most agressive Final drive. Again to change your final drive you will want to talk to that guy about changing the EEProm to match the FDR.
Another option is you could get a 1996-7 wiring harness and do a OBDII conversion like what i did on my Z34 monte and then you can do a OBDII flash update with HPT/DHP. they where true OBDII and both came with a 4T60 trans so it will be compatible.
