The color looks great, was that in east park?
GM refers that engine (3.6) as their "High Feature V6", but at the dealership it is referred to as the "High Failure V6", at least those that are installed in the Traverses.
Too many mile between oil changes kill the timing chains.
Waters pump and P/S pump failures are also common.
I wish you the best of luck with yours.
I've heard the same, but only really about the transverse mounted versions. The CTS may or may not have the same issues, but they seem to be easier to work on due to the mounting.

Of course! I added a catch can and removed the 3.6 and direct injection emblem off the trunk.
And I am planning on doing something about the wood trim(maybe some real carbon fiber) I am also looking at an Alcantara shift knob and steering wheel.
Leon we will see what the weather does, hopefully we can get pictures this week.

all the DOHC V6's in Cadillac's that I've seen, look like that. I agree that it doesn't look right, but in some ways, it's easier to get off and on than the UIM/LIM on my ole L27 - BC

Its a Caddy, most people don't buy them cause parts and upgrades are cheap haha. Beautiful color!!! Nice car, hope it treats you well.
Also, if you guys have meets in or near Iowa keep me in mind. Would love to try and make one and put a face to some of you guys.

I have a Pontiac that's going to need $200 in brake pads alone... I guess I have an exception.

I wouldn't use anything else. Even a beater is worth having good brakes. Plus these front wheels look like every BMW in town covered in brake dust if I leave them alone for a few days.

Haha drives me nuts, if you're gonna spend the money to have something nice why cut corners there? Beautiful G8 btw, GXP means its got the 6.2 right? Bet that thing really hauls a** if its anything compared to the Grand Prix GXPs ive driven

It makes the GP GXP look like a 3800 car. I'm not exaggerating either, it has gobs of power. Thank you!
(Not that GP GXP aren't fun to drive.

Welcome to the world of real performance cars! Good pads aren't cheap. Even higher end parts store brands aren't *that* good. I like the Hawk HPS I had on my GTI.
I've got fairly new OEM pads... Kinda wish I didn't!

Not going to lie... I kind of like pulling this AWD fuse.

I have a switch planned. It will be the factory parking brake switch. 2008's still had a manual parking brake.
