Such a sweet car! Glad to see none of the others are going away too

Truth is, I don't really know yet. Like I said, haven't driven it much yet, and I still need to finish reading the owner's manual. Still have some things to figure out with this car.
Yeah, Ryan, I really can't let go of the others, especially the LeSabre (first car I ever bought). It may not run right now (rotted fuel lines), and needs lots of work, but I'm still hanging on to it. Will probably do what MattStrike is doing - gut the car and rebuild it from the ground up.

I say that's fortunate, your car's setup is 100% ideal in terms of what I want! Bright red interiors have no business on white cars
I've been researching on that Bluetooth, looks like only 2009.5 cars got it. I also have been looking for solutions to better G8 auxiliary input or music player integration, Bluetooth maybe being one of those options.

It takes a Buick to start a guy down that path, and once you start you never turn back!
I'm not even done with the Bonneville and I've already got some major feasiblilty work done for my '86. But I have to find a donor first and I can only do one project at a time.

Definite hawtness! I too love the 19" sport wheels. Dare I say, I like them better than the GXP's wheels. Jus twish you could fit them on a GXP (Not enough backspacing to clear the Brembo's).

Niceeeeee car. I beg to differ with your "life is too short" saying. I would restate is as "life is too short TO BE IN DEBT THE WHOLE TIME" the borrower is slave to the lender and I personally will never be a slave to anyone ever again (after my mortgage is gone)

Don, I think we all get it. The Capitalistic system relies on credit and interest to work, and provided you can pay your debts and are able to manage it, and not let it manage you, it's not an issue.

Just as Ed said, if you're able to manage your debt, you'll be okay. That's the thing with the purchase of this car, other than insurance and my cell phone, I have no other bills anymore. The Bonneville has long been paid off, student loans are paid up, and I have all my credit cards paid off (which really increased my credit score), and it allowed me a nice low APR for this car loan.
I have never made a whole lot of money in my entire life - I've just been able to save and manage it well enough to get by. So, taking out a loan to pay for this car is not really going to affect me too much - it'll just limit what I can spend of mods for the Bonneville and G8 for the next few years.
Anyway, today is a very nice day, and before the rain gets here, I think I'm going to be going out to get some pictures of the G8.

It looks gorgeous! I'm really digging the white... it always feels so nice to have a new car.

Thanks again, guys!! I'm starting to think that white is my new favorite color. It's been a week since I've driven it, as I've been working like a mad man, and when I haven't been at work, all my time has been dedicated to the Bonneville (which is back up and running again, but only one seat in it right now, ha).
Dan, have you used the manual shifting in your Malibu a whole lot yet? I took the G8 out on some country roads to try out the manumatic, and it put a big smile on my face. I so wish the Bonneville had that ability.

IMHO, the few miles I drove a G8, the sport mode was a lot better than the "manumatic" as far as predicting shifts and firmness, etc.

There's no doubt that the car does a better job on it's own...but until you've driven it on a twisty road, tapped it down a couple of gears entering a corner, then punched it on the exit...no amount of logic is gonna tell you the car can do it better!

That probably answers your question haha...but yes, I love it! I bet you do too with that V8!

That car is down-right bad to the bone!! Love the styling of these cars. Also the fact of a 400 HP, rear wheel drive family sedan is just pure awesome!
Hope someday I can own one. Enjoy that thing!

Sport mode is great. I use it a lot around town. It gives the car a great feel. 90% of the time I drove it, however, I left the transmission in normal mode - don't want to beat on it too hard until after I've had it for awhile and made sure all maintenance is caught up (oil and air filter are good; transmission fluid is okay, but I will need to change it soon; and I think spark plugs and wires are still original).
Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the car out on any twisty roads yet. So I haven't been able to give the suspension a feel or work the transmission as Dan explained.

This is the exact reason I went with the G8 over something like the GTO. I can haul friends around, and if someday it comes to it, a family.
Also, after checking it out, for anyone that might want to know, this car does not have Bluetooth. Tried it out, and all I got was OnStar (which I would like to have on this car, but can't afford the extra cost right now).

You should have Bluetooth, most GM cars started having it in 08-09.
Try this:
Hit the voice command button on the steering wheel. Your car will say "OnStar Ready". Then say Bluetooth. Your car will either say something related to that or "Pardon?" Good way to find out for sure that you don't have bluetooth.
