IIRC, if the cooling temp sensor is disconnected/failed, the car won't start. I think the early NA engines don't have a MAP, at least mine doesn't. - BC00Beast wrote:IIRC we went over this in the past, his car doesn't have a MAP Sensor.

im really starting to lean towards it being a faulty/new fuel pump. i mean i had no issues with how the car ran right up untill the day the pump randomly died. even the morning i was driving the car before the pump died i had really great pedal response, no hesitation and car started right up with no issues... now i have all the total opposite going on..

Re: bonnie wont start. help its stuck at giant super market.
I get tired of working on my ole Bonneville because the newly manufactured parts I use only last a small fraction of the length of time as the parts used on the car when it was assembled. In the last 6 months I bet half the parts I bought for it failed in the last six months. If the replacement parts lasted as long as the original parts, I'd figure out a way to do the jig - lol!
some of the defective parts that come to mind immediately:
Engine Control Module (reman)
AC/heater blower motor (new LLTW)
O2 sensor (new Denso, Delphi, & ACDelco)

Grab a used pump from a '97-'99 from the junkyard? Theoretically, it should last a good 3 years or more.
I had an autozoo fuel pump on the LG3 that lasted a month, the next one wouldn't prime unless the tank was over 40% full, the third one was noisy as heck. The '98 pump I pulled out of the junkyard lasted longer than all three of the new pumps, and was $25.
I'm still curious as to what the SES light is...

ok well an updat,
last night i switched the pcm with a good working pcm i have just for *shoot* and giggles. and my ses light is now gone and has not came back yet. i even drove the car about 3 miles.
it seems to drive fine once above speeds of 20mph is reached. still has very poor dangerous low power on take off. scared to enter it congested traffic.
and still has only 37psi of pressure on the fuel rail.
i was thinking today of changing the pump for the 2nd time. its brand new with life time warranty so why not change it.. i cant get my money back for it even if i wanted to..
