I'm honored to say I was there to see it change possession. Definitely an emotional moment! I actually sold the truck a few weeks ago myself and know how it feels.

It's great to know Gravenge went to a good home! :)

aha! This came up in Chat a few weeks ago. Glad to see it went through :)

I don't think Gravenge could have gone to better owners :beerchug:

Don't take it the wrong way John, but we have come a long way with her already. When you first got her here, you were pointing out all the little flaws. Like I said, you were not selling me a new car and I knew what to expect......a 20 year old Bonneville. Kathy loves it and I think she has burnt a 1/4 tank of gas just showing it off to all her friends.

I just want to let you know she is being well cared for. Here is what we have done so far (I stress we because Kathy has helped a lot with it):

oil change
put the stock air box in and new filter
cleaned the water out of the trunk
fixed the leaky door seals
cleaned the engine bay (once by each, learning was involved here, more info later)
Tail light full of water
back-up light out
fog light wiring came loose
greased doors and moon roof
fixed trunk latch, but still needs a new one
console lid fixed

We already have a list of JY parts and going to the pick and pull when I get off work on Sunday. The headliner and carpet cleaning are planned as soon as the weather allows. Kathy decided she liked the wood grain trim better, so I swapped them out. As for the bubble-butt, she likes it and knows you did too and said to forget about it.

The lesson of the day: Kathy wanted to clean the engine better and went to town scrubbing everything. Later we were going to go get the oil and filter and it would start up and then when it tried to find a good idle, it just shut off like someone turned the key off. I did a little checking and found water in the TPS and MAF connectors. After cleaning and drying, it still did it. I was leaning towards water in the crank sensor. The ICM connector looked dry, but I pulled it anyways and quite a bit of water fell out. Dried it all up and she has been running good since.

Our plan is to eventually get her all cleaned up and polished and do a photo shoot with all 3 of them together.

Once again, thanks for the opportunity to own a piece of the Pontiac Bonneville Club history and to pass it on to another generation. Gravenge will live on! :btruestory:

Your beloved Graveng could not have found a better home. My hope is if I ever part with my old Bonneville that it gets a home just half as good as Matt's. - BC

That car will last a really long time, they are really well built.

It's great to see the excitement of a happy new owner, and a great car going to a great home that will take care of it. :)
