Car runs great, when it runs...possible security system prob

It restarted so I went grocery shopping, then picked up my wife from work, and daughter from daycare and the car ran just fine, so I'm declaring it fixed.

Good to hear it is up and running, but I wouldn't take it on any long trips just yet. Make sure it will run for a week or two around town before trusting it to go to far.

Bad grounds and available-voltage problems can cause lots of driveability issues. Glad that you have apparently found your gremlin!

Yeah, I'm gonna give it a week or so and if everything goes well, put it on craigslist for sale. I just picked up a 97 GMC Jimmy with 90k on it for $1500 from a friend who was just deployed to Afghanistan so I don't really need the Bonneville anymore. But thanks for all your help. It's much easier to sell a running car than one with a "mystery problem" and hopefully it will give good service to whoever decides to pick it up.
