Keep us posted! I've seen a member on another forum that went into the 11's on a 125 pill with headers, 3.2, tune & 1.9's.
funny i am hopefully picking up an L67 with SLPs a 3.2 and rockers for a $150 wednesday. but not for this car

I was waiting on a new pressure gauge that I got friday night. I worked all day saturday and the place I get my bottle filled changed their hours from 6pm to 4pm so they were closed when I got there. I am not in a giant hurry to use it. I only need it for the weekends when I race. But according to forum rules I am not allowed to talk about it. I currently dont have any races locked in for RSD though.

I filled up the bottle yesterday and the gas tank today with some CAM2 got home and installed the bottle figured I should test it before I race anybody. All I gotta say is yea thats more like what I want. First gear goes by so much faster and I go through 2nd gear like that. Nothing bad happend and the trans seemed to take it fine.

I doubt that, considering your built-in limiter. Even if you didn't have a limiter, your gearing is a limiting factor. My 2.93 final ratio in the Impala SS only affords me a top speed about 140 mph, and by that time I am highly drag limited...I'd imagine a 3.06 or a 3.33 would net you about 125 tops, the 2.86 I think will get you a higher top speed than that, but it would take you so long to do it, even with nitrous. That is, if you can even overcome the drag and the road friction.

Unless you have proof to back that claim up, myself and anyone else will claim BS.

Theres no limiter its an 88. I have hit 126 without the nitrous my friend in his 92 Mustang verified that. Thats also what the GPS said. So Ill make a video next time. The Lesabre T-Types are actually quite aerodynamic. Its the body style and body kit they used in nascar.

He must own an airstrip or you can do the 1/4 real quick!

Some of us non-nitrousers have topped 155+ with stock gearing (and limiters removed of course).

That comes as a surprise, all of the prom's I've looked at have one. GM didn't let anything out the door that can overun the speed rating of the stock tires (*dang* insurance companies.) All of the LN3's I have looked at had a 115 or 125 cutoff speeds.

What is the PROM ID on the calibrator?

I'm anxious to hear BS or not. Get to the track and back it up with a time slip!!

What is there to claim BS that I took my car up to 145? Fine I dont have proof to show of that yet. But if you doubt I am actually running a 125 shot you can head to chicago and I will show you. Ill make a video for those who wish to see. Im putting the 55 shot back in to finish off the bottle because I only have 93oct in it now.

Whaddaya expect? Your claims, past and present, don't jibe with the collective experience of a bunch of folks with years of experience working on the same motor.

I asked you for the calibrator's ID code (the four character code found on both the ECM service tag and on the EPROM inside the ECM) for a specific purpose. To see if it is even possible for your claim to be true. I'm going to go look it up in the TunerCat database to see if it matches the vehicle type, and track down a copy of the binary to see what the rev and speed limiter buckets are set to. If I see what I expect to see, which is a 115 or 125 speed limiter from GM embedded in the prom, then I will know your whole story is a bunch of bull, or not.

Your Buicks left the factory rolling on H rated tires (130mph), just as mine left the factory on T rated tires (118mph.) GM has been putting speed limiters in their vehicles for about as long as they have had Fuel Injection ECM's in them (early 1980's,) there are practically no exceptions to this. GM had product liability lawyers that took a dim view of it..insurance industry kept harrasing them..go complain to Ralph Nader. So at best, with a stock chip, you car cuts fuel at 125, whereas mine cuts fuel at 115. Unless you program it out, like I have done to mine, you can't drive it at 145mph because it will not allow it. Sorry you didn't pick up on that at Wyotech.

Didn't mean to "offend" you. I wanted to see the "real" results because I am trying to decide between this mod or adding rockers to my 88 SSE. Some claims need to be backed up with facts like the other gearheads here have done or with hard evidence, like a time slip. I don't throw $$ around just on someone's claims. I hope your claim of speed is real, I really do, so get somewhere and prove it.

really?

I realize it's a different car, but my 3.06 gets me to 130, and at that point i'm limited by power, not gearing. I would have thought your impala would go faster than that!

It would...if aerodynamics didn't play a part. I'm drag limited before I hit the built-in speed limiter.
