Don't worry, they were sucked up. The water was cold!

I'm only 132 lbs soaking wet.

Team Bugsi is departing Casa Sunnyvale at 7:45pm, tonight, Monday the 20th. We don't know if we're driving through or stopping on the way to rest, but we should roll into the KOA either very early in the morning if we drive straight through, or by sometime between Noon and @pm if we stop for a rest, or somewhere in between there. We will be sending updates as we go, I have web and messaging on my cell, and I have Bill's number in my cell for messaging updates. Our four-legger is happily staying at home with our housesitter, so it's just Me, Heidi, and our boys Andrew (4) and Adam (2). We'll be at site 38 at the KOA.

RUBBER SIDE DOWN!

They were in Vacaville (98 miles into the drive) at 11:15 PM.

We didn't get very far. We stopped for dinner at a Denny's, then stopped for caffeine, then stopped to adjust the aim on Heidi's Grand Prix headlights, then stopped so Heidi can sleep.

We've gone 180 miles with 417 to go. We're at a rest stop. Heidi and the 2 year old are asleep in the back seat of her car. I'm staring at stars (Jupiter just came up) and Andrew is supposed to be sleeping in my back seat but he won't shut up and is just talking on and on and on. I have NO idea where he gets it.

Pontiac Bonneville Club.com looks pretty good on the crappy Blazer browser on my Treo.

I'm tempted to set up my telescope to get a better look at Jupiter.

There are mosquitos here.

So I DID get out the telescope and Andrew and I caught a spectacular view of Jupiter and all four Jovian moons lined up. We also saw super-bright Venus. Heidi and Adam are still fast asleep and Andrew and I are both wide awake.

I have to admit that I vastly prefer traveling unencumbered by other people's sleep schedules.

The GPS keeps ticking off minutes for the ETA at the KOA. At this rate, don't expect us until after Noon. The horizon is getting lighter, the sun will be up soon. Grrrr.

Someday I'll get out of this rest stop.

Unless you have a motor home and are already here, there is someone using #38. He looks like he's set up for a long stay too.

I called the KOA before I left, they told me about the guy in 38, I apparently got bumped to 39.

Mark, if you get this on the road, consider it a supplement to the cryptic text I sent you:

We have you covered at the KOA when you arrive. We'll relieve you of the kids, let Heidi relax, and help you set up. We have dinner planned at the KOA already. Chill, relax, and we'll see you soon.

Well, the plan WAS to leave early . . . Keven is still sawing logs, so sent the dog in to get him up with a nice wet lick to the face. We need to stop in Weiser (on OR border) to see Keven's mom for a bit, so I'll text Bill when we actually get on the road.

See you guys later today!

Hey Bill, one more day of work and I'll be leaving Thursday night and be pounding softly on your door bright and early on Friday morning. I'll snag a couple of dozen Krispy Kremes with me. We'll go from there, I can't wait!
