I picked up a passenger E39 fender yesterday to cut up and use for the area around the headlight.
Today I was able to cut that section off and rivet + epoxy it on. It started raining so I didn't get a chance to start molding it in.. Still lots to do..
Edit:

Wow....the work you are doing is serious. Great job, keep it up. Literally makes the car look like a different car.

Thanks.
I'm glad I didn't start bodywork yet.. torwards the bottom I have two pieces riveted together and after thinking about it, I really want to tack weld them together.
I got some pics this morning of it dry. The rain made it look much better.
Pretty ghetto for now but it's going to be much more solid than just stuffing tiger hair in there.. That would have been much easier but I would be up shts creek if I were to take it apart.

I got some work done a little later in the day today.
First I tacked the 2 pieces of fender metal together.
Then I wasn'tt happy with how far the corner of the fender hung over the headlight. I grinded it down a bit and tacked it.
Grinded everything down for the tiger
Got pretty liberal with the tiger hair
Blocked down
One layer of medium weight bondo blocked down
And some primer
It's about 80-90% done as far as that fender goes. I stopped because it's kinda pointless to do bodywork in the dark.
I'll try and remember to snap a pic tomorrow in the daylight.

loving the pics. haven't posted in here yet I think, but I've been watching it like a hawk.
I like the different style headlights you used... wasn't a fan of the orange corners on the old ones

That does look really cool. It's good to see someone's not afraid to cut their car up and make it their own.

Thanks guys.
Here's a daylight pic:
Edit-
Still gotta build up the bumper to match the fender. It's not going to stay like that. And I still have to add some glass to the bottom of the hood so there's no gap above the headlight.
