Cringing thinking about it rolling thru slushy salty sandy streets with all those chloride ions crunching away and creating iron and aluminum oxides.
I admire his guts.

Rad, he could drive like that all summer, but the tires would be gone after a month on warm-hot asphalt, LOL

Keep the wheels, but get other tires.

Nah. After starting with the 19's, these 17's have way tooo much gum around them.

Speaking of hard times, aren't snow tires pretty good for rally racing? It's time to show that G8 more than just salt and sand!

I hear ya, going from my 18" Combo on AutoX Street tires (STIFF sidewalls, uber grippy) to 17" with Winter tires.... It's like going from a Corvette to a Caddy. Back end wiggles a little more too on throttle lift...

It's cold enough that the summer tires were slimy rocks. Hard and gripless.

Those spokes are too small for that car... But should be easy to keep snow free, and clean.
Regarding tread width, the winter ones look narrower tread wise, because they have blocky shoulders, summers are much more rounded off, and "usable" tread extends further on them.
That'll be better to drive than the H body yes, but you guys are insane to want to store a 15 year old Bonneville instead of that beauty...

I just noticed, you don't have a front license plate!! Lucky you, I guess. What has your MPG been, and how is DD'ing the thing?

I haven't had any plates at all until today. They came in the mail. I should have a front plate, but I didn't let the dealer drill the holes to mount the bracket. If I do put the front plate on, I'll get creative with it.
Highway, I see 25+ average. City... not so good. My work commute is 7 miles round trip. 15.
