Thanks Juan!

Any updates on the rims yet?
Oh no, if I do end up changing the wheels it won't be any time soon. All this wheel talk has pretty much just been thoughts for later.

Another update I completely forgot to put in here: I have been finding that the H3 foglights I added to my truck with the spaghetti thin wiring they came with don't really do all that much to help with the HID projectors. I modified an old H4 hid kit relay harness I had laying around to work with them, and wow! They are super bright and help with lighting in bad weather and all the time really. Also have gained additional width which is the reason I added them in the first place. When they are on, I have over 180 degrees of lighting. I'll try to get pictures although it probably won't be easy to show just how much of a difference they do make.

Relay harness win!

On that note, the foglights on our Honda have far beefier wiring than the headlights. So the fogs work great, the headlights need some help. Relay harness to the rescue, as soon as I Ebay one...

This is a great H4 halogen wiring harness (assuming your Fit has H4 lights) that I used for almost a year when my truck had 90/130 watt H4 lights with great success. Price isn't too bad either.

Here are those updated output shots, I managed to find a hill to get on top of that does a great job of showing beam width.

The fogs do a great job now that they are boosted, and help a lot in bad weather too.

Update cause I haven't done one in a while. New subwoofer coming soon but probably won't take pics, it'll more or less look like the old one.

Truck did some heavy hauling today. These were taken with my Android phone so excuse any quality issues.

Thanks Lucas! No scratches, there were a couple of inches of clearance that you can't see in the pics. I've done this before. :P

Bad news guys...

We had the flood of a lifetime here today. I've lived in this town in 24 years and I've never seen anything like this. And I had to drive in it, because if I missed another class of world lit 2 (only 2 allowed absences, I've used them) I would get an FA. So I drove to class.

Well after fording a few creeks I was really beginning to wonder whether or not it was a good idea but I had no other choice but to keep going at this point. Finally arrived at an outright lake in the middle of the road, saw a few others going through, so I aimed for the high spot of the road and went through it. Motor died, hydrolocked. These pictures were taken after the rain let up and the drainage system caught up.

Truck is at the dealership now, this isn't something I want to deal with, so I'm gonna let the pros have at it. The really unfortunate part is that early judgement indicates that the engine is seized, but I'll know more later.

Oh no! I hope you can arrange something to make up the class, considering you had unforeseen circumstances preventing you from attending. Hopefully your truck's all right too. New engine in the cards?

Chances are quite good you have a Mangled Connecting Rod.... If it hydrolocked like that water does not compress but that Rod will...

Sorry too hear it Dan...

Fortunately my teacher was very understanding about the situation and let it slide, so no worries about an FA. Not sure what's going to happen to the truck yet, I'm waiting for the dealership to take a closer look at it.

I know it sounds strange but personally I'm hoping they recommend to replace the engine, I'm not sure I can trust it long term after this.

Don, that's what I'm thinking too. I wasn't going fast but the engine was under power when it happened (I was trying to push my way through that puddle). Whatever it needs, it will get...I'm not going to abandon this truck, just unhappy that it happened.

Will insurance cover the loss of the motor, since it is an accident-of-sorts? Just wondering...

You know thats a possibility... I'd talk to the insurance company about that one..

Not sure. I'm thinking that having an aftermarket air intake might void any coverage I'd get, but I'll ask. Even though the aftermarket isn't any lower or in a different place than the stock one.
