Valve body is ready to go on...
Image

cleaned up gaskets surfaces...
Image

oil pump is on...
Image

all electrical connectors were warmed up again to reduce the chance of snapping as they go on, everything went perfect

side cover is back on.
Image

a lot of ziplock bags are going to be thrown away, these are what I used to put each bolt in.

so, the actual trans fix is done, now tomorrow I'll lower the car back unto the subframe and connect everything up. I sure hope it works! I gotta say I'm pretty nervous.

Wow. Awesome pictures...excellent portrayal of simplicity in a way...seeing it broken down a bit. Good to see you got it physically together successfully. Best of luck on the installation and test drive.

Video! Pics! Document that success!

Got a real early start this morning on getting things back together. I used my girlfriend as a surveyor when I was lowering the car. We were both watching to make sure nothing was in the way or rubbing. When I lowered the car, it went down directly into the correct place and I was able to put all 6 subframe bolts into place. After that it was just to connect everything that was disconnected, and change the transmission filter.

After that, I started it up, and it was running kinda funky cuz I forgot to hook up the brake booster line. After that she purred like a kitten. I took her out on the highway, and all the gears work, and each shift was firm and precise!!

I still need to flush the coolant, right now I just have water in there for the test drive.

A HUGE THANKS TO AGRAZELA, could have never done it without ya!

***edit*** Here is a movie showing overdrive. And no, this was not WOT.

I'm not sure. It was a one-time fluke thing, just happened to get on camera.

The filter that you just removed originally or the new one?

I'm hoping it's the original one (at least before you fixed it) My brain is not functioning properly so if it's blatantly obvious, I apologize.

Well, there's the old splines in the filter.

Congrats, Andrew. Now you'll be helping me tear out the dashboard in the 2004. :)

My security light has been coming on about one out of every two starts (really getting annoying) I have yet to figure out why. It seems to come on more when it's colder in the mornings and at nights this time of year. The car drives fine, just a dummy light staring me in the face.

I have had this issue since I bought the car 1.5 years ago.

Looks like it needs a new oil pressure sender, too.

I have the oil pressure sender, haven't put it in yet.

I think the security light was on because I was using the Valet key accidentally.

I'm not gonna clear the corners.
