I just prefer more urban places to take pictures of the cars, partially because that's mostly what's around here besides corn and the occasional soybean field. But also because cars aren't natural like trees and grass, sometimes the juxtaposition of the two is cool, like in Pat's pictures, but unless it's out of the ordinary I have found that man-made urban settings look better.
That being said, I think some of my favorite pictures are from when you were here and we compared notes on the road down in the corn field.

Nice thought process, Will! If the backdrop looks good, I think the pictures can work. Now, I agree, urban settings do seem to fit cars better, especially if they are taken during low light settings (sunrise, sunset, lit by streetlight, etc). Hmm, I now really have a craving to go out and do that sometime.
Yeah, I do like those cornfield photos too. It was so nice of Mexico to let us test our cars and take pictures that on that long, empty stretch of road.

Who knew Messico had such a welcoming attitude for American cars!
The pictures from Woodward this year illustrate what I mean about urban areas working well.

Yeah, that does help set the car off. Those pics you and Lane took at the old GM factory looked great too!
My problem, there isn't enough of that around here where I live. Downtown's usually too busy, with no places to park, and most old buildings have been torn down now.

Yeah, I mostly have campus buildings, grain towers I can't get close to or the garage. Haha!

I would like a parking garage, but none of those here.

Yeah, we have dozens. Mine is one of the only ones without barriers though, and go figure it's the most expensive and most ideally placed.

For whatever reason, Photobucket has been refusing to load all morning for me here at work (although pics load fine on my phone through the Wifi).
Anyway, saw these pics on FB, and I love the look! I think it's really cool to see something like HID's (done properly) on an older car!
Looking good, and can't wait for the other mods!

Gorgeous! Doing the brights too? How's the performance of the light and how tough was it to do?

I don't see a need to do the brights too. The lows are bi-xenon. And the output is amazing. Makes the stock ones look nonexistent. It took about 40-50 hours to do them, between me and Carl working on it. It isn't really difficult, just tedious and time consuming.

Very nice, I remember seeing posts about this in another thread, ive been waiting for an unveiling of the upgrade. If you don't mind me asking, what was the total investment for the his? I have a general idea, but just looking for actual numbers after all is said and done.

dude, it would look even BETTER with the silverstar corner and turn signals, if you are not required to have the amber... course I was required in my state but no one ever cared. they are pricey but the color looks beautiful with the clear corners and it would make the reftrofit look even nicer too..

I may do LED corners. But I like the orange front turn signa actually.
Total investment, ~200-250 for materials, and then 70 bucks for a spare set of headlights, then 40-50 hours of labor, which is where money gets saved vs paying someone to do it.

Looks good.
And you're welcome.
Now I wanna re-do my retro. Good thing I have my old headlights.

Thought I'd throw an update on this. Finished up some work I was doing on it (if you followed my other thread) namely: intake gaskets, VC gaskets, underhood dress up, a 3.5 pulley, headers, and a tune. Also threw on a set of wheel spacers and exhaust tips, which I still need to set back farther once I cut some of the actual tailpipe off because the exhaust shop left it long.

Ignore the fuel door rot...
You guys will appreciate this, Don and I have been playing with a 97 SSE PCM to get it to run a 96 L67/4T60-HD, after Don's tinkering with ideas Brad played with back in the day, and using Brad's old PCM from his 97 SSE, we (he) has been successful in making my 96 compatible with my HP Tuners software, as well the 97 PCM has more adjustable parameters. That PCM alone made one hell of a difference, I can't thank Jrs3800 enough.

Those tips stick out too far mang. They should be inline with the opening.

I took "set-back" as to mean stick it out further...
