help pointing me towards my next mod!!!
given my current mods listed in my sig what should my next mod be? i believe my post of cam might be a lil pre-mature seeing as how my heads and exhaust are stock. should i continue the cam thought or move to something like headers or rockers or try a pcm burn. this car is reaching the mileage limit on tuning 145K so am i best not adding more and rather tuning it to perfection? please give me an idea towards what i should do next.

No GenV unless he has a way to tune it. 96 is a bit more difficult in that regard.

Re: help pointing me towards my next mod!!!
so headers is the way to go then. and i was going to try tuning the 96 pcm as a 97 and set the trans values to 0 and im not 100% sure this will work but i figure its worth a try if not then i get a 97 PCM and flash that with 0 trans values.
also im not sure if it is worth digging as deep into the engine to do a cam given the miles it has instead maybe a maxed out ratio of rockers (1.9) and springs is the last HP boost i should do

Keep your stock exhausts and don't waste your money.
My recommendation right now is to halt modding until the economy improves.
You're wasting your money. Put it into a trani rebuild fund or next car fund. You'll need it later.

Re: help pointing me towards my next mod!!!
I fail to see how he'd be wasting his money by modding his vehicle now, but it's not a waste when the economy is better. Modding is a waste of money in any economic conditions, not just now. If you have the money, and the desire to mod, why not? We don't know his financial situation. He asked for our advice on what his next mod should be, not advice on his finances.
That said, I would also go headers.

I still say headers are the best mod I've done.....but for sure not the cheapest.

Re: help pointing me towards my next mod!!!
yeh but i was employed at the time this thread was started juan. thats the reasoning behind doing it. i got your typical L67 mods in place ie. pulley, intake, cat, muffler, and thermostat.
and thats common for most L67 owners but i was unsure of what is the next best toy to add on.
p.s. its the time of taxes we hate having to file them but love to get money in return and some of the money is going towards a SS PLOG and rear PEM

j baker ...
your exhaust work can be done your self if you want but most will be custom done. the headers can be bought and bolted on with minimum to no modding at all. as for the rest zzperformance dot com has downpipes and headers as well as high flow magnaflow catalytic convertors. tips can be ordered from your local muffler place as well as your mufflers. as for switching to a dual outlet like the SLE and SSEi packages well you would need to fabricate a y point near the rear.
when it comes to the exhaust you can get as custom as you want.
http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... =12&t=8107
that would be a good place to check for exact sizes of your exhaust and maybe get some thoughts on what to do
P.S. i apologize again for the private message i sent you in no way do i hope you feel i am coming down on you about anything i only wish to inform you of the rules in an attempt to save you from punishment from the administrators and/or moderators
