Hi all
Well I've been lurking the forum for a few days and figured It was time to join. Just picked up my 00 SSEI as my new daily driver. I've always been a fan of GM, and having driven my fiancees 04 sunfire for a few weeks and seen what a great, reliable little car it was, I had to opt for a Pontiac. The bonnie is such an excellent car. After the first drive I was sold on it. I wish the power figures were a bit closer to 300, but that's nitpicking considering that the car has a decent MPG to power comparison.
I've been a member on plenty of car forums, chevy, digitalcorvettes, crossfire forum (don't ask), audi owners, and the list goes on. But having checked out this board, you guys seem to be the most well rounded and mentally stable owners group I've seen (with the vette guys probably being the worst...). Anyways, I guess I'll just say hello to everyone, I'm glad to be a member here.

Re: Hi all
Well, you'll be glad you got it. These cars go forever, and can be very fast. It doesn't take many mods to push it to about 300 HP, either.SamuelL421 wrote:Well I've been lurking the forum for a few days and figured It was time to join. Re: Hi all
Sure thing, I'll post some pics later tonight. The Bonnie is knee deep in snow and kinda dirty, but I'll take cell phone pic anyway.

Re: Hi all
Welcome!! I've owned an H-body ('95 LeSabre) with the old Series I 3800 for 8 years, and it has almost 295,000 miles on it, and still runs great! That was the primary reason I stuck with an H-body and 3800 (bought an 01 SSEi last year).
They are such great cars, and the more you drive it, the more you're going to love it!!

Re: Hi all
Lol, that's a seemingly random question. But no, its dark green right now. But I did buy some new candy apple green metallic for it. Hopefully it will be painted within the next year, but this summer looks too booked for a major project like that.SSsuperchargedEi wrote:welcome, your vette wouldn't happen to be orange-ish, would it?
I've been really busy the past 2 days but I'm going to try to post some pics this evening.

Re: Hi all
Well here are the promised pictures, I ended up having a much longer and busier week than I what I expected. Had to take some time out for new plugs/wires and a thermostat on the bonnie too. Having put in some serious driving time in the past week I also found some new problems, but thats off topic, I'll save my questions for later. Here are my cars.

Sorry about the crap cell phone pic ^
Here's the vette, the 20's are currently off and I have some nice, old school American racing vectors (which look arguably better, depends on your taste in wheels). I just got done with some work on the rear end (shock mounts, shocks, new adjustable camber setup). But I found that the car has been getting some bad body sag in the front (you can see it happening a little in these pictures from a year and a half ago, look at the seams). The body mounts and shims are crumbling away, so I guess that's going to be my project for this summer.
