I like to keep the car clean, but usually I don't have decent access to a trash bin near the door at school, and I'm forgetful, like previously stated, so this works the best for me. I understand the need to keep the car clean and everything, and you have to admit this is much neater and more organized than throwing the crap on the floor, like I did before.

Hmmm...not a bad idea. I, like mostly everyone that has posted, tend to take my trash out as I exit the car...but you're right, that's not ALWAYS an option. I think, tho, that if I had this...I would forget to take the trash in my car out...and it would start to stink. Ya know - out of sight, out of mind.

Rather than the duct-taped trashbag method, why not try to find a small garbage can that is the right size and wedge it into the pass through opening? Just an idea...

A couple of reasons:
A: You wouldn't be able to close the pass through if you needed the seat
B: That would be a really small trash can, like 3 or 4 gallons, and the bag is 13
C: That would require finding and buying a trash can, where as a trash bag is almost free, I took it out of the roll in the kitchen, they are really cheap because we buy them in bulk at Sam's Club

To any of you that are carrying around anything inside your cars: I really suggest not doing it, keep it in the trunk.

Learned this from an EMT buddy of mine.

If you get in an accident, and you have your seat belt on, you have a good chance of surviving. However, if you have books, tools, etc, in your car, they just turned into heavy projectiles, that could possibly cause fatal injuries when they are flying around the inside of the car.
