Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds

Post by 00Beast »

Got a set of 235/55R17 GY TripleTreds through Tire Rack, $585 to my door, and another $60 to have them mounted and balanced, so it equates to about $160 a tire, and the best deal a local shop could give me was $175 mounted and balanced, LOL.

First Impressions: I picked the car up at 3:30 from the shop, and the tires were great on the Semi-wet pavement, quiet, ride well, handle well, very responsive. Driving to theatre practice, starts pouring. Tires handled it like it was nothing. On the way home, rainy, wet, and crappy whole way home, car never felt the slightest bit unsettled through puddles, etc. Overall, i really like every aspect of them, from the looks (tread pattern and perma-black design), to the performance and ride.

So far I give them a 4.9 out of 5.

Sorry If this is confusing, I'm dead tired, and need to go to bed.

I love mine so far. I really wouldn't mind to not have to try them in snow for a long time yet... But, since it snowed today, I don't think it'll be long before the streets are cold enough to hold snow... :sad5:

Nice price, that's about what I paid for mine.

I got them a couple weeks back but I have yet to really try them out on wet pavement. Otherwise they ride nice and are very quiet.

I got mine at Sears on sale for $565 mounted and balanced with a $40 rebate and a $40 gift card so its more like $485...

They're awesome..I know mom has told me how many times she has avoided a serious collision in serious inclement conditions...and now that the brakes actually work again, they'll continue to rock

I would put fortera tripletreds on the truck if it wouldn't look strange on a Z71.

They have been through every weather condition they will ever experience in MN in the last week, and I haven't slid, spun out, or done anything but get to where I needed to go. These tires get a 6 out of 5!!!

They're not winter tires, they can't perform nearly as well in low temps as winter tires....

no, they won't be as good as pure, dedicated winter tires. But for a balance between everything, these are it. They have been on Ice, snow, rain, glare ice, dry, and have worked beautifully. I don't plan on getting winter tires, and these work really well. If the weather is that bad, we have a suburban and/or a pickup i can drive, both 4x4. And, if the weather is that bad, school or whatever event I'll be heading to will probably be canceled anyways

I've had these on for a number of months and can't find any reason to complain.
For a all season tire they seem to be really good. I didnt loose traction at all during our slush storm Tuesday, was able to do the speed limit just fine without any worries.

Had em on my 02 Toyota Highlander, and loved them! Amazing traction everywhere.
Will be going on my SLE when the rs-a's are done making me hate driving in anything but dry weather.
