Lug pattern

Post by Karl »

I'm shopping for winter rims for my step-mom's Envoy and I've found that it's an 8X18 rim with a +50mm offset. I called my GM dealer and they say all 6 lug bolt patterns are the same. Is that true?

i think the envoy and the trair blazer have the same bolt pattern
but i dont think you could put a 6 lug wheel off a 4x4 1500 pick up truck/suburban
on to a envoy or trair blazer. the bolt pattern is closer together on the envoy and trail blazer
as the 1500's are little farther apart. you may want to check out tirerack they may help
you and might have a wheel and tire package too

You talked to a moron at your GM dealer. The GMT360s (Trailblazer, Envoy, Bravada, etc) are 6x127mm with a 78mm center bore. There are tons more 6 bolt lug patterns out there, such as GM's GMT800/900 (Avalanche, Silverado, Sierra) trucks having a 6x139.7, a half inch larger than the GMT-360's.

As far as the offset goes, I don't think the offset is up as high as 50, but it is in the high range..I'd guess it to be more around 40 at the most...but regardless, chances are, any wheel in that bolt pattern should have a general correct ballpark offset.

It's not a super common bolt pattern...and even less common with that 78mm center bore. Apart from the GMT-360s... The Grand Cherokee has the same bolt pattern, but I'm pretty sure the bore is smaller.
