Dex-cool class action settlement

Post by Peej9089 »

I just received a letter in the mail today regarding the General Motors/Dex-Cool class action settlement. Forms have to filed by October 27, 2008. For info go to
www.dexcoolsettlement.com

This may be old news to some but I thought I would post anyway.

Key words from the link:
There is a proposed class action settlement involving
Settlement Benefits
Under the proposed settlement, GM will send cash reimbursements to class members who paid for Covered Repairs performed within seven years or 150,000 miles (whichever is earlier) after the original owner or lessee took delivery of the vehicle, and who submit timely and valid claims.
From the Missouri case: http://www.dexcoolsettlement.com/Missou ... lement.pdf

Read the payouts in section 3.1.A and then read the counsels benefits in section 3.1.B. Especially note 3.12 and 3.13 in section B

The only people benefiting here are the law firms pushing this. Considering that most cars don't see the failure until the car is several years old.

Go to their website http://www.gardencitygroup.com/index.html and look at the list of class action lawsuits they have. They are definately making money off the unfortunate happenings of the common folk. You get a little kicker of $50-$400 and they make up to $2.5 million.
