Nikki took the good camara again today, so here's some random shots with the old one. There isn't as much magenta in the color as the camara makes it seem.

Homelink? No. I've never had it, don't really know what it is, so I guess I don't miss it.

Its just a built-in garage door opener. You'd miss it if you ever had it. Don't have to have the bulky transmitter anymore.

I really like those 19" wheels.

I don't see the battery under the hood. It might be under the rear seat ..... or is it in the trunk?

Good point/question -I sure as hell hope that to find it requires removing a wheel like a some Pentastar vehicles in the 90's and early 00+ do.

First thing I like about the 09's over the 08's is the color selection.
Second thing I like about the 09's vs the 08's is the Blaupunkt deck with touchscreen -I just can't find a liking for the screen up high and the knobs down low -I'm not that well co-ordinated I guess.
Third option I like about the 09's are the rims -machined vs powdercoated.

The next feature I'm really holding out for is a nice Tremec 6-speed.
Once that feature is available (if before January) it may speed up my purchase date.

yeah, color choices have improved with the addition of two different Blues, Silver, Sport red (what John got) but they lost the Orange, which IMO isnt to much of a lose..

there is NO touch screen or no bluetooth(one of your posts earlier) once you have the car, you'll almost never use the knobs, and almost always use the wheel controls

Rim Choice did NOT change at all 08-09

and don't expect a Manule trans in a GT any time soon.. from what I know so far, thats a GXP only thing.

The battery is in the trunk to the left behind a easy pull out panel. Which is interesting, because there's no trunk keyhole. If you need to replace a dead battery, you gotta realize there's a trunk release just inside the rear seat passthrough. :ack:

There's no difference between the 08 and 09 radio, and none of them are touchscreen. The base V6 has a radio without a big screen, except at the top there's the atari display...? The wheels are the same, too. 09's got new paint colors, some lightened up interior trim, XM radio, and Bluetooth later.

That's interesting. So the valet key to prevent mechanics or valet's from accessing the trunk would be obsolete. A little less security there. [-X
