97 ssei with both shift lights on and traction off

Hey guys new to the club but this is my second
Bonnie, but this one is a ssei and has the performance and normal shift buttons and both buttons are lit up and I'm not sure why the car shifts great amd drives fine. Also the traction control button dose nothing no light no Trac off on the dash or anything could this maybe be causing the issues with the Trans? Do i even need to care about this cause it dose still shift really well? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tools and have knowledge with these cars my last one was just a 96 and a sse with none of these options. Thanks in advance!
