Need HELP with 2003 SSEi

Post by rynmcdonald »

It's actually my frineds car, but in any regard..... still need some input on the matter.

In October of 2021, the car was hit in the left front by a drunk driver on the highway. i managed to control it to a stop. I went through the transmission and found the final drive planetary gearset was trashed (surprised the car was able to even move). Before I did any work, I noticed that it ran rough. I am wondering that from the force of the impact that it could have broken the balance shaft or some crankshaft bearings. The car is drving now.

What I had done to it.....

got another transmission case
got another rack and pinion
got another strut and steering knuckle
got new control arms
got another front left fender and driver front door.

had it aligned.

any input/suggestions greatly appreciated

just want to get her purring like she was before this ever happened.

thank you

I'm assuming no codes?
Did your wiring harness get pinched anywhere?
Are the engine/trans mounts good?
Is your harmonic balancer in good shape?

If the force was strong enough to break the balance shaft, I think it would be worse than running a little rough.
