E10 unleaded gas.

Post by rustyroger »

E10 gas has arrived in UK gas (petrol to us :) ) stations. Regular unleaded with 10% ethanol I am lead to believe.
Will my unsupercharged 1998 Park Avenue be ok with it? I guess it should be ok, but I'd like to be sure.

Roger.

Should be fine. 87 octane, car is new enough not to suffer from the degrading effects of ethanol on the old-style rubber between the tank and the combustion chamber. I run it in my 1998 Jeep V8 regularly.

Yeah, shouldn't be any issue. MPG might go down a bit though.
