Hello everyone! I have been a member for a month just reading everything I can about this car. Some things are enlightening and some are just downright terrifying...

The car is a black '04 GXP and it had 193xxx when I bought it a month ago. I went over the car thoroughly to make sure there were no leaks of any sort. I went on an extensive test drive and there wasn't any indication of overheating. The car runs really smooth and very strong. It needs front struts (right one is a little weaker than the left, and I did read that i should use the original springs). No rattles, weird noises, or anything out of the ordinary.

The exterior of the car is really very good, a couple of door dings and scratches, but that is to be expected. Same for the interior, VERY clean. Whoever had it last (one owner car, I verified this) took REALLY good care of it, obviously adult owned. Everything works as it should, except for the fogs. I did read on this forum how to solve that issue with the wiring.

With all of that said, I am a very happy fella. Best way to describe it, it's like a gentleman in a tux. Best of both worlds. I just passed 195xxx and all is well. Thanks for reading this long winded post!

Good choice. Whenever I see that it is a black '04, I wonder "could that be mine..." :)

I think the issue with the struts is that they don't make the FE4 specific tuned setup in that "quickstrut" setup. So as long as the spring isn't bad (shouldn't be, unless it's physically broken), you should be fine.

And yup, the infamous fog light issue... Not shocked.
