Post by pepper65251 »

ok i have a problem i cant figure out. 2002 sle has intermittent problem where the car won't go over 45 mph and on occasion it wont go over 10 mph. it does surge when idling. i have fixed and replaced.
couple vacuum leaks and sprayed intake with carb cleaner.
check fuel pressure 44 pounds and pulled off vacuum went to 54 pounds
replaced mass air flow
replaced cps
codes are o2 sensor bank one

You need a scan tool to see what your upstream o2 sensor is doing. If it's reading an incorrect voltage, then your fuel mixture will be too lean or too rich. The vehicle will run poorly if the upstream o2 is malfunctioning.

I forgot i had changed both 02 sensors about a month ago. i have a spare bonneville for parts i pulled the 02 sensor off of it and problem went away. i guess the new 02 sensor was bad. my scanner is a piece of crap so i found a mac mentor scout at the pawn shop for cheap.
