Driver vents blowing hot Passenger vents blowing cool

Like the subject says. The left side is blowing hot on defrost, the floor and vents while the right side works with the temp dial normally. It does the same while the AC is on as well.

Drivers side blend door actuator has failed.

you can try to reset the door by removing(( -) cable from battery for 30 sec. if that doesnt work, you can move the door to hot position in winter and cold position for the a/c.

This is one of the things listed in the common problems post at the top of the 2000-2005 section.
*Gone, but not forgotten* - Black 2000 SSEi, HIR Headlights, Angel Eyes fogs, 3rd brake light overlay, hi-flo cat, 180 degree thermostat, HS 1.9 rockers, LSx yellow springs, Intense FWI, PCM, shift kit, push rods, and 3.4 Pulley. ZZP Power Log.
