Tire pressure Monitors

Post by ZimGXP »

My Check Tire pressure alarm is in. It comes in as soon as I start the Car. I thought this was based on Tire rotational speed difference? Or is something else going on?

yes, that happens to my 2000 once in a while - I just reset it and it seems to work fine. so, your pressure is fine when checked manually

Another electronic gremlin in these cars causing more alarm than helpfulness.

Just to be sure (I think the GXP is the same) you did step through the information on the DIC to get to the tire pressure low section, and reset it there?

If you just reset the "fault" the message will return.

You have to go back to the main DIC set-up and when you get to the Tire pressure "Normal" hold the "reset" button for the ABS sensor counts to reset for all four wheels.
