So my gxp rims were curbed by the previous owner. Repeatedly. She's hit so many my front bumper is cracked and the fog lights shattered. I knew there was no saving them and keeping them original. And I was having trouble finding anything in my lug pattern that would clear the front brakes. I found a few Cadillac rims that were gaudy chrome and that would look horrible. So I decided to refinish mine. I sanded the gouges in the aluminum and filled them with body filler. Then I painted them with a metal flake candy red, to match the Pontiac logo. Let me know what you think. Also, please excuse my gas cap rust issue #tenthgenprobs
Not sure if it would look better with colors swapped, or with a black back.
They don't look curbed though, which I guess is a good piece though.

1993 Buick Park Avenue - 197k - Some odds and ends done - Simply won't die
1994 Buick Regal - 78k - Bone stock - Always ready for a good kicking
1990 Oldsmobile 88 - Gone to a better place
That is interesting, but I think if the vehicle was the same
color red (not just the Pontiac logo) it may work more coherent.
Mine are trashed. My wife hit every curb she parked against.
So I need to do something with mine as well.
Everyone likes the flat black wheels now days, I don't care for that look.
I think some color (like you are doing) or metal, chrome, silver is the best.
