Custom Shifter

Post by ejanzen6700 »

Has anyone ever changed out the stock shifter for a B&M Shifter or other aftermarket shifter? The stock shifter on my car works fine, but there is a gap between the shifter and the gear indicator, so the gear indicator does not move with the shifter. I can push it in place but it does not stay, so I was thinking just for kicks, that I would change it since it needs repair anyway.

Here is a picture showing where the tab on the shifter does not go in the hole on the plastic strip for the shift indicator.

I did an aurora gated shifter in the factory spot. Its 100000X better than the OEM Bonneville one IMO. Not an easy swap however if your not good with modifying interior plastics
