Howdy from the windy west - Wyoming that is.
New to the forum but not to mechanics. These newer vehicles drive me crazy with all the sensors and electronics but I try to do as much as I can myself. Came looking for answers and hoping to perhaps contribute when I can

On the flip side, all of those sensors and electronics all TELL you what's wrong as they self-diagnose themselves and most, if not all parts are simple R&R. And there are no adjustments to be made. The electronics do it all for you.

Agreed. However, even reading DTCs is only part of the solution and sometimes no codes are displayed to indicate what might be the issue. Without an extremely expensive piece of test equipment and the knowledge to use it most of us old timers are stuck in the mud. LOL.
I am trying to get a better understanding of how all these systems interact but at times it just doesn't make sense to me, especially when it comes to ancillary systems.
