2002 Bonneville SSEi on Barrett-Jackson

Post by Cat »

I just saw a 2002 Bonneville SSEi sell for $9,500 on Barrett-Jackson. Happy to see a Bonnie on there!

PS I am sure that nobody remembers me, but I am a member and "lurker" on this site.
PPS My 1998 SLE is about 25 miles away from hitting the 100,000 mile mark. I will post when I get there. :)

I was intrigued that this brought in the money it did.

So, I got to looking around, and I found these:

'95 with 14k miles (supposedly) https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/deta ... /overview/
'01 with 40k miles https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/deta ... /overview/

So I am guessing the owner made out halfways decent.

the edges of the inside of the door of the '95 leads me to believe there is a good chance the car was not driven during the winter when salt was on the roads. - BC

Hi There!

I hit the 100,000 mile mark on July 13, 2017. :bwoohoo:

I am so proud of my baby.

My husband thinks that this is the end for the Bonneville, so he is encouraging me to drive his Charger SXT so that I can get used to it "just in case." I think that the Bonnie and its 3800 motor can keep going and going. Anyway, I took the Charger for a serious drive last Sunday for the first time. This was my review:
"Weak a-- car that handles poorly." I was disappointed and prefer the ride in the Bonnie. Am I crazy?

Yes, you are crazy.

But it's okay, because these cars make you crazy.

Keep maintenance up on it, address the known issues, and transmission willing, it stands a chance of outlasting his Charger.

What year is his Charger, and what engine does it have?

I knew that a Certified Bonneville Nut would understand how I feel. :) Yes, I am crazy for that car.

Is the tranny the "fatal" thing on these cars?

It is a 2010 Charger, and it has a 3.5 L engine. It has such nice lines and looks so mean, but it is just a regular car. I guess I expected more from a "Charger".
