How can I turn up my trans line pressure? Slip/catch? CT

Post by GerGa »

I have a 2004 H-body Lesabre(similar to Bonneville), with 90k miles. I have had a shift kit on it for the last couple years which made a huge difference in the 4T65E slow shifting, but it is still a little slow and would benefit from a slight bump in line pressure. How do I go about changing line pressure? Is HPtuners the only option? Would any shops out there be able to do it or have the software?
My transmission also has the slip then catch problem when suddenly going from no throttle to gassing it from a stop. It's not too bad right now but if I give it a sudden ton of throttle from a stop it will do it. Would turning up the line pressure help with the slip/catch issue?

Thanks

PS. I'm in CT so if anyone in the Northeast US can tune it let me know

you can adjust the pressure in the ECU with HPTuners or DHP Powertuner or the other option is to get like a ZZP or a Transgo shift improver kit (Mechanical shift kit rather then a Electronic)
