Core charges. Amazon has no specific mechanism to charge and refund them like Rockauto does. I've known that for some time and was just reminded of it when buying calipers for my dad's truck. The core charge at Rockauto was more than half the total price. At Amazon, the total price was even higher (but with free shipping in this case). Maybe a core return could be worked out separately with the seller if it's not Amazon. MAYBE... But if Amazon is the seller, I'm certain you are out of luck because they do not know how to handle it and do not rebuild car parts.
BTW, I ordered calipers from Rockauto and pads n rotors from Amazon all on Thursday. The calipers came today, two days later. The rotor and pad set is still a few days out.

I guess I didn't say that Amazon's total prices are usually similar to Rockauto's. But Rockauto handles core charges. With Amazon, you are not typically getting any core charge back. I did happen to see one seller on Amazon that wrote in the description that they will do a refund for a core return, but that's the only one I've happened to come across.
Case in point: I recently bought a pair of rebuilt front calipers for my dad's truck. Amazon's shipped price was similar to Rockauto's. But with Rockauto I'm getting $40 back per caliper. The Amazon description said nothing about getting a core charge back.
Total price difference: +/-$80 in Rockauto's favor.

I think Rock Auto is just easier to use and find what you need too. In addition to extremely low price.
