No valet fob, only the 1 & 2...but you can have 4 remotes programmed on the system.Erinyes wrote:Andrew, is it possible to get a 1 fob, a 2 fob, and a valet fob with a module? Did the Bonnevilles have a valet fob?

I think your post was missed by most people....scooberu wrote:I like Harofreak's option, but I am already invested in the fob programmer. My trouble is, it seems the remote receiver is not talking to the drivers door module(?) or whatever computer is in charge of unlocking the doors. I have tried 3 wireless receivers: the one I bought with the car and two from a salvage yard. They all have the same part number. Also, the programming procedure goes exactly the same way with all of them, and with no receiver hooked up.
I took a closer look at the wiring connector to the wireless receiver to see if it had power, and noticed something very strange. It is an 8-pin connector with 4 pins used and 4 pins missing. However, it appears that the 4 pins in the receiver are matched up to the 4 blank spots in the connector.
Can anyone take a look at these pictures and tell me if the connector is right? This is a 2002 SE.
(I am trying to post pictures...)
Unless there's evidence of the connector having been spliced in, it appears that you have the right connector but the wrong receiver.
The module you need may be GM part #25757280, which has since been replaced by 10385605.
This module has the pins in the lower row.
I believe that different modules were used depending upon the trim level of the car.
Maybe the original owner had gone to a junkyard and asked for a module but received the wrong one.
Contact Harofreak00 and see if he has the right module for your car.

A quick follow up regarding my earlier posts. I did purchase used key fobs and module from Haro freak. The part number was different than the original part number, but the module and fobs worked perfectly the first time. I highly recommend this option. I was unable to determine why the programmer did not work on my car, but I was able to return it.

Another follow up to the key fobs: my fobs seem to work intermittently now, but mostly not at all (locks or trunk). The last time one worked, they both worked, which means the problem is probably in the car. The fobs both have good batteries.scooberu wrote:A quick follow up regarding my earlier posts. I do seem to have a problem with one of the rear door modules. Neither the power windows nor the power locks work on that door, and they quit at the same time. I have done previous work on that door, replacing a power window assembly that had a temporary fix by the previous owner.
Could a bad module interfere with the key fob operation, or are these 2 separate issues? I do intend to buy a module and replace the bad one.

Take your keyfob apart and clean the contacts between the circuit board and rubber button pad. I think you'll find some buildup gooey residue.

Cleaning the contacts didn't do anything the first time. Then I changed the bad door module and that didn't fix the problem. But then I tried unplugging and replugging in the remote receiver. After I did that, One of the key fobs worked. So I cleaned the other one again, and then it worked too. I think the car just wants a little extra attention.

Does your Bonneville need a remote but you don't want to deal with having it programmed at the dealer? I'm selling pre-programmed remotes. All you have to do is swap the module in the trunk with the one provided and you have instant keyless fobs. The fobs are $20 each and the programmed module is $20. Shipping is $5 on any combination. 2 remotes and module = $65 shipped
