blinglights

Post by SLE_CHAMP »

I was looking to purchase a passenger side fog lamp for my 05 SLE, when I Googled for results the bling lights showed there was an direct application for the 04-05 GXP. I read the description and they claim to be an exact fit. Can anyone actually confirm this? There is a photo up of a GXP on the website but its too dark to tell.

This seems to have a bit different perspective on the kit: http://www.blinglights.org/2004-2005-po ... ing-lamps/

Very interesting. Does not claim to be a projector, doesn't look like one either, just a straight driving light.

This is the first I have heard of anything like this however for the GXP.

Looks like they have fog lights for the last 2 generations of Bonnevilles...SLE, SSEi, and GXP. And it appears they use a glass lens instead of plastic....my interest is piqued.
A temporary fix does not exist. It becomes a solution until it needs to be fixed again.

RJolly87 I didn't even think about that aspect much. I know they are 55watt so they are way brighter than stock. I don't really like the blue tinted glass though, and they probably will be a serious pain to mount.

2 reasons these suck right off the bat.

1. The shape is completely wrong. OEM lamp curves off to the side of the car. You would have a ton of gap and the light would be facing the ditch if you tried to fit it better.
2. The mounting bracket provided will 100% not work. Look how the OEM projector mounts.

I would love to watch these being installed..."requires no other parts or extensive modification"...chuckle...

Agreed. I was skeptical from the beginning, the driving lights are more likely to be legit for all other trims (the rounded lamps) I just had a difficult time believing they got the oval style 2004-2005 GXP and 2005 SLE completely accurate. Thanks a lot, I will just purchase another passenger side lamp and ease up on the wattage this time.....

My 05 SLE uses the same bulb as my 05 GXP did. Exact same PITA setup. It comes in 55 or 100 watt. The 100 watt certainly won't last long if the 55 doesn't.
I want to say it's an H3 off the top of my head.

I ran 55 watt h.i.d's and that melted the projector over a series of 5 months. So, I will bring the wattage down to 35. I wouldn't recommend running high wattage h3's unless you use the lamps sparingly.
