Coolant Leak Radiator Cap
So I had the coolant flushed from my '03 Bonnie SE and there is coolant leaking from the cap. The cap is new and it would do this with old coolant and cap. Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Re: Coolant Leak Radiator Cap
Is it correct to assume that the car has not been overheating and that the problem existed before the system flush was done?
First, make sure the surface on the radiator fill neck is clean both at the top, against which the larger portion of the cap seals and inside the fill neck where the smaller part of the cap seals.
Secondly, make sure that the arrows on the cap are facing the small tube that leads to the coolant reserve/overflow tank and the cap has been installed all the way tight.
If these things are OK, then double check to be sure you were sold the right replacement cap---checking the cap manufacturer's website is the best way.
If everything checks out, then there may be a crack in the fill neck or close to it that is allowing coolant to escape.
The system can be pressure tested to pinpoint the leak.
Buy or borrow a cooling system pressure tester and pump the system up to 15 lbs (not more, not less).
Once pressurized, look for where the coolant is leaking out from.
Let us know how this turns out.

Re: Coolant Leak Radiator Cap
It just leaks when it stops circulating. I just order an OEM cap since I have an aftermarket on it now.
