Hooking up a trans cooler fan.

Post by fmacnak »

Hi all, my trans is running hot so I just added a larger trans cooler with a fan. Any thoughts on where I can hook up the power for the fan? I'd like it to run full time with the key on.

Most of the pink wires in the engine bay by the passenger side firewall are key-on 12v. You can use that as your signal for a relay and a fused 12v circuit to run the fan.

You probably don't need the fan though.. I would be curious to see what your temps average without one an a larger cooler.
