FYI.
You should always replace struts or shocks in pairs.
I put some pre-loaded struts on my 2001 Bonneville SLE last year and they work just fine.

ok thanks I can get these http://gabriel.com/product-search/light ... num=G57051 but they say Exc. electronic Adjustable Suspension?? what do they mean by that?? cause I have the air leveling system in the back suspension I hope they don't mean that!! anyway when the spring broke on the bottom the spring fell off the bottom plate and missed punchering my tire by less than 1/2 inch...lucked out

thanks this forum is great

I would follow Gabriel's advice on the page you linked:

Let us know what they say about these struts.

Dougtoth is absolutely right when he says that struts should always be replaced in pairs.
It's a safety issue, due to the different handling characteristics of different brands and types of struts.

Always replace in pairs, and stay away from the quick struts. They make the front end of the car ride really high. However, given that you're missing a spring now you might have to go that route. Unless you order a new spring from Bonnevilles Unlimited.
